Rangers have 8 days left to make new signings in time for pre-season, after the date for return was confirmed at June 27th.
With speculation rife at Ibrox but thus far zero incoming movement, Rangers fans could be understood for being a little concerned at the lack of new faces, but there are 8 days left before preseason starts.
Of course, in reality there’s just over two months of the full transfer window left, but the ideal time to get players in and settled is to have them in place for the start of preseason so they can bond with team mates and benefit from that full preparation.
The January window is notorious for its fails being higher due to the lack of preseason new signings get at that time of year, but the later in the summer window they arrive the higher the same risk carries.
We do hope some new bodies arrive soon, word is Gio wants at least a new striker, a new left back, a new attacking midfielder and a right winger – but there’s only whispered rumours at this point.
The UCL qualifiers are early August and the SPL begins a few days earlier so that’s when any new signings really have to be targeted for.
Ideal situation would be to get them well in advance, but so far not too much happening.
