Rangers exploited again as midfielder ‘gets linked’…

We had to admit this morning’s story from Clickbait Insider really was the ultimate attempt from the notorious website to use Rangers’ name for clicks, after they ‘explained’ Rangers would be ‘blown out from the water’ in our attempts to sign Croatia’s Ivan Lepinjica, with Wolves making moves.

Only the thing is, Rangers have not nor have never been linked with the Rijeka star (except very loosely a year ago in Croat press) and this literally is our name just being thrown into a headline in order to attract Rangers fans and indeed Wolves fans to the story.

We get it, it’s summer time, transfer window, and there’s a tonne of speculation going round – no smoke without fire and all that.

But in this case there’s not even wood never mind a matchstick and Rangers have just been plucked out of thin air to give a story airmiles, to give it traffic and get those clicks in.

Look, we know ourselves on Ibrox Noise we produce headlines to get attention – that is of course the purpose of a headline and no one is a monster in the media for attention-grabbing headlines.

Sometimes we admit our headlines are a little ambiguous and require you to read the article to see what we’re on about.

But we won’t just lie.

Never will we completely mislead you with a false headline.

Wolves? Rangers? Pull the other one.
