Five clubs vying for Joe Aribo’s signature – Rangers sale inevitable

Rangers are resigned to losing Joe Aribo this summer, after a glut of PL clubs formally moved in for the Nigeria international’s signature, with the last year of his deal now underway.

According to reports last night, Nottingham Forest are in pole position, but he is understood to prefer a move home to London, with Palace, West Ham and Fulham all keen.

Aston Villa are also monitoring his situation.

It does seem now inevitable Aribo will leave, especially given his reported disinterest in even coming to the table to discuss a new deal last year.

Transfer fee? Said to be around £10M-£15M for the former Charlton man, a profit of pretty much 100% – Rangers made him and will now benefit from his sale.

Many might point at the example of ‘press nonsense’ from Connor Goldson, where the press had him gone only for him to sign a new deal. The difference there was even Gio confirmed Goldson was as good as leaving, which was very telling.

So the press weren’t wrong, he just changed his mind.

In Aribo’s case he’s said he’s happy at Rangers, which he is and has been, but he isn’t signing a new deal and does want to return to England now, but is open to sides not in London, even if they’re his preference.

Just because a player wants to leave doesn’t mean they’re unhappy – they just want a change. Or a return to England.

We’d be astounded if he’s here come next season.

    • Happy to post your comment, apologies for having a life Jamie, we don’t all sit about all day waiting for gentlemen like you to post.

As for your maths, you were absolutely right. You have our sincere apologies for offending you so much you immediately resorted to aggressive insults to try to sort the misunderstanding out.

You’re clearly a better person than all of us, so much so that maths is your strong point. But not so much English, eh?

      Remember, education is king.

ps, you’re not a Rangers fan, you gave that away in your first post.

      Have a nice day.

    • Jamie knew fine well what point we were making, a simple slip of English on our part and he resorted immdiately to abuse. He’s just a troll.

  1. He will be a big loss to us,will miss him, he’s been great player for the famous
    WATP🇬🇧

Rangers can turn Joe Aribo into an “even better player” after signing the
midfielder from Charlton Athletic on a four-year deal, says Steven Gerrard.

Aribo, 22, made 97 appearances and scored 16 goals for Charlton and helped them win promotion to the Championship last term through the play-offs.

He has reportedly cost £300,000 because of cross-border transfer rules.

“There were clubs in for Joe around Europe, in the Premier League and the Championship,” manager Gerrard said.

  2. Maybe it’s just me ,however I am not to fussed about him leaving ,can be great and can also be just plain ordinary this guy ,that doesn’t win you a league .His disinterest matched by mine ….take the money and give to gio .
