Borna Barisic is surrounded by a dramatic day of news, after his manager dumped him and an unnamed Serie A side joined the race for his signature.
Barisic has been the subject of speculation over his future ever since Trabzonspor entered negotiations with Rangers, and they are said to be preparing a bid for the Croat, but now an Italian team, thought to be one of the Roman sides, has joined the queue meaning there could be a bit of a bidding war.
Meanwhile Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic confirmed he’s lost patience with Barisic and fellow LB Borna Sosa’s injury issues and is unlikely to select either of them again, being happy with the choice of Josko Gvardiol and surprise new select for Barisic’s slot, Celtic’s RB Juranovic.
All of which means Barisic is potentially going through big changes in his life – a likely move to a new country, and the subsequent exit from Rangers, plus the loss of his international place to a Celtic player.
It’s a time of evolution, and he’s got a lot to deal with.
