UEFA disgrace amid Eintracht/Rangers tifo scandal

The fallout from Wednesday continues after it emerged Rangers asked for formal permission to present a tifo display at Seville, only to be denied, before discovering Eintracht had been given full consent and happily presented theirs on the night.

On top of the treatment of Rangers fans, we cannot help feeling everything possible was done to hinder the club and its supporters in advance of Wednesday’s epic.

The police, the stadium organisation, the water shambles and this tifo absurdity gives some idea what our club was up against for this final.

By no means are we in any way excusing the loss. It was a lottery, and our players just didn’t have enough on the night to win, with Ryan Kent especially kicking himself, but off the pitch the standard of due care and fairness upon our club was shockingly lacking.

We at Ibrox Noise have been under siege from missing persons requests, with a shocking number of Rangers fans who vanished on the night, with organisational skills by the hosts absolutely abysmal, and Spanish police worsening the situation.

The bus farce, in particular, was a disgrace, the police guarding the transport and not informing supporters the location had been changed, leaving fans effectively stranded completely.

It was horrendous, and we weren’t even there.

What we’re compiling sees a picture of incompetence, neglect, and frankly malevolence on the part of those who should have been ensuring things went smoothly.

And the tifo shambles just sums it up.

This was diabolical, and far from fair. Disgusting.
