Cedric Itten’s frustrating time at Ibrox is set to come to an end after Young Boys officially made a move, by refusing to deny they weren’t.
The Swiss striker has had a weird time of it at Ibrox, initially being a reliable asset to bring on amid some calls for him to be given a serious chance, but he always suffered being the surprise signing instead of the heavily-linked then-Livi and Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes.
It didn’t really work for Itten, and Rangers would certainly want some funds back for him, given he’s under contract for another two seasons.
He also suffered the rare ignominy of going to a Bundesliga side who managed to break records for being the worst top-flight German side in history. He still got himself a couple of goals at least.
Recalled in January, his confidence was shot, and his performances suffered.
And now it seems like he’s going to finally end his time in Scotland, with a journey home to Switzerland and the giants of Bern.
We do wish him well if he leaves, he had a rotten time of it at Ibrox.
I like Itten, hes obv a proven goal scorer, it just didnt work for him here it happens. He’ll move on and score a barrell load somewhere else i bet.
Never had a decent chance.
