Rangers were prepared to face Eintracht without Kemar Roofe after the striker was omitted from the club’s media day entirely, only for the hitman to post teasing comments to the contrary on his social media accounts.
The Jamaica international has just 5 days to get fit now, and his absence from the official UEFA media day for making the final (even Ianis Hagi was there, and we’ll get to that) was conspicuous to say the least.
But then he further compounded it with photos from Ibrox himself and a few teasing comments deliberately cryptic.
As things stand, we don’t think he’s making it. He wasn’t at the media day, alongside Filip Helander and Alfredo Morelos, but as we say, confusingly, Hagi was…
Nevertheless, we’d love it if he was, but Giovanni and Rangers do now have alternative options to Roofe if the roof falls through on his fitness bid.
And we’ll reveal them over the coming entries.
I’m hoping this is all smoke and mirrors and he will be fit.
I really hope he makes it. I can’t believe we are going into another European final without a striker (1967).
