In something of a contrast to Aaron Ramsey’s goodbye message, fellow January loanee Amad Diallo appeared more positive about his future being at Ibrox with a message of gratitude about the Scottish Cup and how delighted he was that ‘we’ are the champions.

There’s been a feeling in the past month that Diallo has won over a lot of his doubters, and while he had overall a disappointing loan spell at Rangers, it definitely got brighter the past 4 weeks.

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst, for his part, dropped a MASSIVE hint of intention to keep Diallo by starting him in the cup final over Scott Wright, Kemar Roofe and Fashion Sakala to name but three, and the Ivorian didn’t disappoint with a bright performance.

It’s been a case of confidence – he was a lamb to the slaughter in February after the OF (Gio screwed up selecting him, and fans’ treatment of him was dreadful) but he’s started to eke into that criticism and looked much more convincing over April and May.

And there have been talks that he could renew his loan and stay at Ibrox for next season, but of course, that depends on Man Utd and their intentions.

In truth, the Old Trafford side have been a basket case, and they have a new manager now, so who knows if their new boss wants Diallo back.

Time will tell – but for his part Diallo seems keen to stay.

  1. I was massive critic of the lad. But now hes won me over a bit. I wouldnt mind another sesson out of him if he kept tht form up and he would improve more as next season goes on. This sesson just ran out of time for him lol.
