Today Rangers will take the field at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Sevilla and face historical rivals Eintracht Frankfurt in a match which could write Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his men into legend.

The exaltation of the Barcelona Bears of 72 and what they achieved, which continues to present, gives some idea of what winning the Europa League would bring to Rangers, to our fans, and to our legacy.

It would only be Rangers’ second-ever European trophy, and it would immortalise every player in our shirt, not to mention that Dutch Master of ours in the dugout.

There’s no question it would be the greatest night in Rangers’ history, 100%, and the biggest achievement in Scottish football, arguably including 9IAR-winning Celtic’s Lisbon Lions – from where Rangers were 10 years ago this, even making the final, is a miracle.
