Dehydration shocker as Seville Rangers suffer neglect

Earlier we penned a piece wondering why the fans were so quiet, but thanks to a few supporters we have learned of a shocking level of neglect by the stadium staff and dehydration and while the question remains as to why the Frankfurt fans were infinitely more vocal, the treatment of the designated away fans yesterday evening was clearly not good enough.

From what we’ve been learning, conditions were dire and fans suffered dehydration and no water whatsoever at their side of the stadium.

Let’s not kid around with the denials, as some fans who were there are, our support was silent, and that’s factual. Some are claiming full voice, but it’s just not true. But it’s explained by a few factors:

A 3-mile walk to the ground in 30C+ heat, most fans there 3 hours early and roasted alive in the boiling sun, water confiscated by stadium staff on entrance, all kiosks to buy water closed, just one opened up and probably couldn’t cater for 20,000+ fans and was out of stock within seconds, fans resorting to drinking from taps were then denied as the stadium TURNED OFF THE WATER.

We were scathing at the lack of noise, and while a few defensive souls claim it was full volume, most of the honest ones are more scathing at the dehydration they were forced into.

This definitely wasn’t good enough, and while we’re not claiming it’s why we lost, it sure contributed to a sub-par crowd that was just parched.

Poor from Seville, and poor from UEFA.
