It’s not often we discuss our foes with regards competition, but Ibrox Noise would like to extend a hand of friendship to RB Leipzig, who, unlike their arrogant countryman Lothar Matthaus, conducted themselves with grace, humility and in the true spirit of sport.

They gave tonight everything, playing fair, tough, but fair, and lost to a side who don’t know how to lose.

Their manager, Domenico Tedesco, showed his class and his club’s grace with a sincere condolences to Jimmy Bell, at the start of his press conference, before this match, demonstrating his dignity and willing to show civility.

That was appreciated.

And his side gave it everything out there in the spirit of football, leaving it all on the pitch.

In the end, they just didn’t have enough to beat a Rangers side who have torn up every expectation in the book and proven a grit, team work and ethic which has truly earned a historic place in the final.

But we respect them.

Unlike some opponents, they showed class in the tie, and showed us respect. Something, as we’d say, is mutual.

You were good Leipzig, falling just short.

Best wishes to the rest of your season and we hope you nail that CL spot via the league.

  1. Agreed 👍, unlucky Leipzig. Very dangerous side. But everyone of our players were titans tonight.
