We must admit a bit of surprise with the BBC today – not only are they all over Rangers with hype regarding the obvious, but in an even bigger surprise, the only mention of the other lot talks about how half their support was arrested.

Ok it was 6 fans, apparently, but we’re genuinely ‘pleased’ (is that the right word) that the BBC are actually acting, for now anyway, like they’re on our side, with a lot of pro-Rangers content as we approach Seville D-Day.

There is effectively nothing about Celtic’s title win, such is the insignificance it really pales into in comparison with Rangers’ titanic final this week.

We’ve had their lot fuming on Ibrox Noise recently (before they got banned of course), aggressively mocking the fact we as Rangers fans are not as hurt as they want us to be, trying to convince themselves their Govan rivals are heartbroken and devastated, but sadly, while we are of course disappointed not to have taken 56 this year, Seville completely makes up for it.

And that kills them.

As one chap put it, beautifully:

We won the most important title in their entire generation, they won the least important one in ours.

Sure, we lost out on the direct UCL group place by way of the league, but win the UEL and that will be completely forgotten such is the filthy lucre and prizes on offer for the winner. And at utter minimum we have a seeded place in the third round of UCL qualifers next season so it’s more than doable anyway.

And to see the BBC endorsing us and basically ignoring them is a little bit of justice we’d say.

It probably won’t last long…
