German outlet FR claim today Rangers are seriously in the hunt again for Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville after fellow German suitors Hamburg saw their chances reduce thanks to status and their financial muscle.

The winger has been a long standing target for the club, and with GVB as manager Dutch players may be making their way to Ibrox this summer; Summerville’s stats for this season are decent. 6 goals and an assist in 12 outings.

He’s also a RW and it’s looking like he might be the long-sought RW answer Rangers have keenly searched for for years.

FR say:

“Rangers are in for Crysencio Summerville, they can compete with completely different financial muscle to HSV. Because Rangers, unlike Hamburger SV, already play in the top flight and even fight for the top spot there. Even more: in the current season they are also in the Europa League. It is clear that such a club will also have more cash available than Hamburg and can thus burst the HSV transfer link to Summerville. But Bundesliga 2 could also generate money: if HSV transfer rumours about Josha Vagnoman being sold should come true, its sale would flushes a few euros into the coffers.”

One to watch?

We don’t know if he’s overall good enough, but it does spell the end for Amad Diallo if true. Not that he ever started.

More on that later.
