Giovanni van Bronckhorst has this morning confirmed Fashion Sakala WILL travel to Germany, amid rumours the Zambian would remain in terra firma over Covid vaccination restrictions.

The former Oostende man didn’t travel to Germany for the playoff round v Dortmund and rumours were strong that he was unable to due to not being vaccinated, but of course this was much earlier in the year and the rules change frequently.

And the foreign office has confirmed Germany’s restrictions have loosened a little and a negative test is now all that is necessary to get in for the over 12s.

It means vaccinated or not, Sakala will lead the line tomorrow giving Rangers some relief at a time when they are down 3 strikers, because the loss of him would have been very troubling.

But no, Gio has confirmed a ‘very big plane’ will be carrying Sakala and the rest of the squad to Germany.

One thing less to worry about.
