Following today’s new dispute between Rangers and the SPFL over marketing issues, we have to wonder quite why the governing body, who did so well to help Rangers with regards the fixture shift, have brought in yet another deal which violates existing Rangers’ commercial interests.
Last summer, aware Rangers’ chairman Douglas Park has a car dealership, the SPFL secured a sponsorship with a rival one, surely well-furnished of the knowledge this would be a conflict of interests as far as Rangers were concerned
And now they’ve done it again, managing a deal with fantasy football kings Sorare which is a violation of Rangers’ own deal with Sportemon Go.
We can’t quite understand why they would persist in arranging deals with companies who directly rival groups their own members are working with.
Rangers and Sorare are going to try to work on their own deal separate to the SPFL, something which won’t infringe on Sportemon Go, but what are the SPFL trying to do, arranging so many commercial sponsorships which directly rival Rangers’ partners?
It’s counter productive and they will surely be aware that Rangers aren’t going to be thrilled with deals being presented to them which conflict our own.
We hope this can be sorted soon, because it’s silly. And more than a touch incompetent.
It’s a clear vendetta to look for sponsors that the glorious already have to just to cause issues. I mean imagine brokering a deal with an online car dealer when Parks of Hamilton have such a huge presence across Scottish football, the mighty and ibrox.
The people running Scottish football are incompetent to say the least. Why else would they go and make these sort of deals knowing they are going to cause problems. Scottish football needs to be run by others rather than this lot, something that should have been done long ago
Let’s not pretend this is accidental ffs . This is the usual anti Rangers agenda which seeks to prevent us doing our own business and to also take the opportunity at every turn to block and antagonise our progress to do so. Its not smart or conducive to harmony which the rotten mob also don’t want.
