Rangers have been hit with yet another injury blow after midfielder Aaron Ramsey had to be removed before half time with a hamstring problem.

While the Famous are performing miracles without Alfredo Morelos, Ianis Hagi and Filip Helander in the side (all of whom are out for the season), nevertheless we don’t want further losses going into this brutal stretch of games, and although it’s fair to say Ramsey hasn’t really set the Rangers heather alight yet, it’s still another injury we don’t want.

We obviously don’t yet know the full diagnosis and prognosis, but in his favour is the fact Rangers don’t play again till this weekend giving the squad some much-needed breathing room instead of a hectic midweek fixture, which may give him time to recover, but the fact he had to be hauled off in such a critical game before half time wasn’t the best sign.

Rangers have not had their injury troubles to seek, and losing Ramsey would just be typical for the season so far, but equally we’re not really sure it’s that much of a loss if we are deprived of his services and we have cover.

Ramsey has been a sicknote for a long time, and at his age it’s likely to worsen rather than improve, but nevertheless we do hope he gets fit again soon because options are vital at this point of the season.

  1. I seen Ofoborh at FT jumping around looking delighted. Does Ibrox noise know any info in whats happening with him ? Those heart scans seem a long time ago now and it seems like no news since in him from Rangers.

  2. I doubt if you’ll see Ramsay for the next 3 weeks. Pity because I had the feeling he had an important contribution to make even though he was probably our poorest performer yesterday.
