There’s good AND bad news for Rangers fans re: Alfie
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - MARCH 10: Alfredo Morelos of Rangers celebrates after scoring his teams second goal during the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 Leg One match between Rangers FC and Crvena Zvezda at Ibrox Stadium on March 10, 2022 in Glasgow, Scotland. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images)

Alfredo Morelos might be back from Colombia duty but he’s 50/50 to make the Old Firm after it was confirmed that he is indeed injured.

Seen with icing and strapping on his thigh at Dens, Morelos was withdrawn with a minor tweak and was unable to contend for a place for his country during the break as a result.

Consequently, he is a major doubt to face Celtic next weekend in what is becoming a Morelos curse v Celtic at Ibrox.

Last time it was through a rotten call up for Colombia, this time it’s injury.

Either way, Morelos has 6+ days to get that tweak sorted otherwise Rangers are down a huge man for the visit of Ange Pestecoglou’s side in a match that has colossal implications for the title.

It’s a potential loss we could certainly do without.

More as we get it.

  1. If he starts it won’t be long until we hear the accusations that the Columbians were directly trying to influence the direction of the title by releasing him early.
