GVB has shocked Rangers fans by restoring his weakest defence in the form of Bassey and Barisic at the expense of Balogun and Helander, and dropping in-form midfielder John Lundstram to the bench, keeping Glen Kamara in the side.

Ryan Jack is back as we promised you, and Fashion Sakala does indeed start on the right, but we can’t explain for love nor money why the XI features our worst defence, and why our brightest midfield pairing isn’t being used.

Aberdeen will be right up for this one, and settling for anything other than our strongest XI does seem a bit confusing.

This is three players off being the best we could have had, and we really hope Gio knows exactly what he’s doing ditching Balogun, leaving Helander benched, and doing the same with Lundstram.
