“I’m not happy” – Borna admits truth about Rangers

Borna Barisic has confirmed he’s not happy at Ibrox right now due to lack of playing time, amid rumours he may be vulnerable to an exit this summer.

The Croat LB has fallen down the pecking order thanks to Calvin Bassey’s form and emergence as the club’s current leading man in Barisic’s slot, and the ex-Osijek man isn’t happy about it at all, as we wouldn’t expect him to be.

Unfortunately the Parkhead performance absolutely wrecked Barisic, and while on form and in confidence he remains the best LB in the country, his lack of both of these at present have made it very hard for Gio to select him.

He said:

“I haven’t played in a few games and I’m not happy about that, but it’s not a drama.”

By his own admission, he’s slipped into ‘squad player territory’ and is now by definitely second choice to the Nigerian.

And it’s not a shock he’s unhappy with that – but it does make him very vulnerable to vultures this summer.

His comments in January did hint at interest, and Watford certainly submitted a £2M bid for him, but he won’t be content staying second fiddle for long.

One to watch.
