After my hard-hitting articles on VAR, I was sent an article yesterday that made me smile.
Not because I was happy, but because we knew where the ex-Celtic striker was coming from.
His quote was “John Hartson fears Celtic and Rangers will have to prepare for the title being decided by a refereeing howler.”
The only mistake is the author of the piece added Celtic to the sentence, coz it should really have read:
“John Hartson says Rangers (alone) will have to prepare for the title being decided by a refereeing howler.”
Have you ever noted that they never actually say how many points Rangers have lost to bad refereeing, and they never say how many points (and trophies) Celtic have been gifted by the refs suddenly losing their glasses?
Yes, it’s always, well Celtic got away with it, but have you looked at Rangers….and then they roll out a sound bite from some bitter manager, or an ex-Celtic striker, who obviously couldn’t be biased.
Even though there has been some noise about refs testing the VAR system out, and other managers moaning weekly about “bad decisions”, last week proved they do not want it.
So, the fact is biased referees have already thrown points Celtic’s way, and the Celtic fans know it.
And that is why “mighty Celtic” will never throw their weight behind it.
Spot on Derek its so corrupt it stinks. That shocking refereeing at Livingston was a disgrace, it totally handed the rotten mob the game. How that useless twat linesman didn’t see the goal kick by the thug Ralston! Then Goodwin sqealing about a foul that was mot before Roofes goal …its shite. Yes of course the rotten mob don’t want VAR we would be at least 4 clear if it was in place…or would we, they would probably ensure Collum Clancy and the other green leaning wretches officiated it ffs
