Anti-Rangers press begging Celtic for the win

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but the vast vast majority of the Scottish press the past 5+ days has been even more anti-Rangers than usual, and filling its boots with as much Celtic propaganda as it can.

If it’s not Helander headlines, it’s £50M Tierney headlines, if it’s not Jorg Albertz slaughtering the board it’s new press darling Ange Pestecoglou and how great he is. If it’s not Rangers fictionally rejecting a fictional Dave King offer it’s…. you get the picture.

It’s almost as if the press are a bit wary of Rangers’ return to form in recent weeks and are worried we might actually beat Celtic.

The reality is we’re seeing a lot of anti-Rangers pro-Celtic content in supposedly neutral publications, but it’s the same old story.

There are still a lot of Dons and Celtic men entrenched in the higher levels of government and media (hell, you only have to look at self-confessed raging tims James Dornan and Humsa Yousaf to know this isn’t paranoia) and they still have influence.

And that’s ok, tides of change take time.

But a good win on Sunday would go a long way to shutting the lot of them up, and the best place Rangers can do their talking is on the pitch.

  1. I read a story just today in the papers saying Rangers are a club on the verge of imploding. I dont usually agree on all the anti Rangers stuff. But i really have noticed it now.

Pro green led anti British SNP hatred . I hope we just win , end of, no ifs no excuses. Its time to shut the noise up. We have Europe to think about.

  5. Slightly off topic but still feeding into the “nobody likes us” narrative I hear our so called National Manager started tonight’s match with NO Celtic players in the team. When did that last happen? Have they got a big game coming up at the weekend? Of course the player most likely to get injured, our own Ryan Jack, played.
