Rangers shock as Gio culls big names from XI

GVB has pulled a big shock out of his hat with the selection of the out-of-favour John Lundstram in midfield, while benching, as Ibrox Noise suggested Aaron Ramsey and Amad Diallo.

Looking for a big response, the manager has dumped a bunch of passengers and Glen Kamara (who we thought was actually fairly good on Wednesday) and replaced them with hunger.

Ryan Jack, Lundstram, and Leon Balogun all start, with Kamara, Barisic, Sakala, Roofe, Davis and Ramsey on the sidelines, while aforementioned Diallo must also be content benched.

It is a sweeping statement from a manager beleaguered with recent displays and results, and while the XI picked might not be our absolute best it’s certainly the sleeves rolled up stuff we hoped to see.

Today will not be easy, and passengers are not required.

GVB has proven with this selection he’s not afraid to make big changes, and we will see what kind of response he gets.
