Rangers rejected an eleventh hour derisory Fenerbahce bid for Alfredo Morelos after the Turks thought they could nab the Colombian for £6M.

Rangers’ star striker, 25, is currently away on international ‘duty’ at present, and following the sale of fringe man Nathan Patterson to Everton for £16M, the Mediterranean giants reckoned they could pull a fast one with a third of that for Alfie.

Like the Toffees’ initial £5M bid for Rangers’ ex-RB, the Turks’ bid was dismissed out of hand.

Morelos is considered to be worth around £20M+ and Rangers will not let him leave for significantly less than that, so for Fenerbahce to try £6M on him was a bit insulting.

Still, if you don’t ask you don’t get, and in this case they definitely did not get.

Chances are that that’s a move el-bufalo wouldn’t have been terribly interested in anyway.
