The real question this week is what are Rangers’ genuine chances at Borussia on Thursday.

Yes, they will probably be without star man Erling Haaland, but it’s not like he’s the only player they have.

Let’s look at the talent at the Westfalenstadion:

Hummels, Witsel, Reus, Bellingham, Brandt et al are some of those they actually have available, and the Bundesliga giants sit comfortably in second in the league.

However, the big kicker, that many Rangers fans don’t realise:

This is Borussia’s first ever match in the Europa League.

Having parachuted down from the Champions League, they’ve never actually been in this tournament before, so Rangers have a small advantage in that we know how to play it and what to expect in it.

It’s definitely going to help, and we’ll need all the help we can get.

They’re probably missing Haaland, and there’s also Meunier and Wolf, some of their key players, out injured too.

It’s not going to be easy for them, against an experienced UEL side like us.

Our chances? If European Rangers show up, we have a real chance of taking something from Germany.

Watch this space.
