Rangers and the SPFL have come to a semi-agreement over the cinch stand-off after manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst gave an interview to Sky Sports in front of advertising banners for the first time since become manager.

Previous live broadcasts via Sky had always been in front of a blank wall or a neutral space on the side of the pitch, but for the first time GVB was presented in front of normal advertising, and one slight difference.

The cinch logo was nowhere to be seen, and instead, it was the conventional non-commercially sponsored SPFL logo that adorned the board.

But all other normal sponsors and ads were in place, and we have to say it looked better.

As much as no one really likes advertising, it’s a necessary evil in this day and age, and it was very strange seeing Gio in previous matches in front of blank walls or indeed on the side of the pitch.

So, surreal to say, but welcome change.

We have great doubts that cinch’s logo will ever get shown at Ibrox, though…
