Outrage as national paper laughs at Rangers’ Ryan Jack injury
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - OCTOBER 04: Ryan Jack of Rangers warms up ahead of the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Ross County at Ibrox Stadium on October 04, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. There’s one thing producing anti-Rangers headlines, quite another when a national newspaper is downright nasty and appears to revel in pain.

The despicable sun ‘newspaper’ really did hit new depths this morning, apparently revelling in Ryan Jack’s small setback (it’s just a tiny ankle knock and he should be back for the weekend) and thriving in using all the fun puns they could manage about it.

‘Jack ‘n the crocks’, ‘It’s Ryan shame for Gers’ – tasteless garbs taking pleasure in the misery of a footballer, in a case of absolutely rotten morals.

Of course, we shouldn’t be shocked – the same paper was quite happy to smear Liverpool fans back in the late 80s as liars and to blame for the Hillsborough disaster, so plumbing the depths isn’t new for them.

But you’d think they’d learn, you’d think they’d actually show some backbone and decency.

Not a bit of it.

This was plain unpleasant, using a footballer’s injury for ‘funny’ puns and exploiting him.

Typical trash tabloid.
