The links lately with Schalke’s Martin Fraisl are utterly ludicrous, and really scream of an agent desperate to find their loser client a major payday and a cut themselves of the deal.

Let’s be frank, Fraisl is an absolute nothing goalie, barely much of an upgrade over Andy Firth, and is barely good enough to be our third choice.

At 28, this ‘goliath’ of the game has a mighty 30 appearances in the top flight of any country, in his case Romania and Holland combined, which on the face of it seems okish but he was relegated both times.

This guy is so far off Rangers standard it’s almost comical that an agent is trying their luck linking our name to him, but fair enough, self-serving reasons are reason enough we suppose.

We don’t want to sound harsh, and in Gio we trust, but we strongly doubt there’s anything real in the interest claimed over this guy.

If this is legit, this really is putting the utmost faith in our management!
