While Rangers’ win over Dortmund was sensational on Thursday, we suffered a Euro hangover on Sunday, and Dortmund responded to their critics by mauling Monchengladbach at the Westfalenstadion.

They will, 100%, be gunning for us on Thursday, and what’s more they’ll likely have Haaland back.

Yes, Dortmund will come to Scotland seeking revenge, and their Norwegian stormtrooper will be at Ibrox.

It’s not 100% guaranteed till the team XIs are announced, but he’s fit again, training, and the chances of him not playing are small indeed.

So our defence has its work cut out, up against the hottest striker in world football.

We know we did an incredible job in Germany, one of the best results we’ve ever had, but we came back to earth with a crash on Sunday and add Erling Haaland to Thursday’s mix and it’s certainly going to be a challenge.

But in better news Dortmund are missing a glut of players, with the following all massive doubts for Thursday.

Akanji, Meunier, Morey Bauza, Schmelzer, and newly-injured again Gio Reyna are all unlikely to be involved, which does help Rangers, and of course, Haaland isn’t a certainty, while Marco Reus is also a doubt after picking up a thigh strain at the weekend. Seven doubts.

No matter who turns out for them, they will be all-guns blazing.

All down to how much Rangers want last 16.
