Diallo and Zukowski start – predicted Rangers XI to face Annan
Just needs a little spot of confidence and form.... (Credit Rangers FC)

Rangers take to the Scottish Cup field at Annan today, and we pretty much know the bulk of the starting XI, give or take.

Ibrox Noise takes you through the likely eleven players, some confirmed, who will be lining up for the Light Blues.

McLaughlin. New contract, was in the press conference. If he doesn’t start we’ll eat our hats.

Mateusz Zukowski at RB. A rare rest for James Tavernier, as we suspect the new Pole will get the nod to start.

James Sands. Goldson rested for this one, and Sands given an outing at CB.

Filip Helander. And Filip is back. Confirmed as starting, and a welcome return for the Swede.

Borna Barisic. He needs to get his game back, and hopefully a solid 90 v lesser opposition will help with that.

Midfield:

Aaron Ramsey. Confirmed as starting, the question is who’s his partner?

John Lundstram. Just got back in the team, he is likely to continue getting the minutes. And he’s in form.

Attacking midfield:

Alex Lowry. Perfect chance for him to gain more senior minutes, has impressed for the side even if his youth league outing v Sevilla was one for him to forget.

Kemar Roofe. Short of fitness and he didn’t have the best outing at Parkhead. He’ll want to put that right. This could be Sakala though…

Amad Diallo. Burst onto the scene v County but rather faded, we’ll be shocked if he’s not starting.

Striker:

Cedric Itten. Needs form back and this is the perfect chance.

So your Ibrox Noise predicted XI:

McLaughlin; Zukowski, Sands, Helander, Barisic; Lundstram, Ramsey; Sakala, Lowry, Diallo; Itten

We’ll see soon enough how right that is…
