It’s Friday the 7th of January and Rangers’ transfer window is heavily underway. We’ve already signed 21-year old CB/DM James Sands on loan, and other moves are close too.

Ibrox Noise brings you all the ins and outs at the moment:

Danilho Doekhi:

He’s absolutely 100% bigging up a move to Rangers now. He’s issued explicit ‘come and get me’ pleas and today is calling Rangers (and Napoli) ‘beautiful’. He clearly wants to leave Vitesse but Dinamo Zagreb are also interested in the £3M defender. Gio is said to be aware of him. Currently a pre-contract.

John Souttar:

Another pre-contract, Souttar has a glut of options in England’s Championship and our understanding is he 100% wants to leave Hearts to ‘improve himself’. Rangers are in a strong position to secure him but it boils down to his making the choice. Not really dissimilar to Doehki, but in his case Souttar hasn’t said anything publicly.

Stephen Kelly:

Three clubs looking at taking him on loan (Tranmere, Utd and Killie), we have no idea what this means for Kelly given at 21 he’s being farmed out after Gio just signed someone at the same age who can play in the same position. The manager putting his mark on the team and hard to say if Kelly is in his plans.

John Lundstram:

Rumours down south that Boro are looking at taking him on loan. We discussed earlier how we don’t know what his future at Ibrox is now, with a new manager taking his own stamp on things. Lunny hasn’t really been too involved under Gio.

There’s a few bits and pieces otherwise but that’s your lot for now…
