A host of Championship clubs are now firmly seeking Jack Simpson, albeit Rangers would rather sell him than loan.
Middlesbrough, QPR and Swansea, as we told you last month on Ibrox Noise, are all in the hunt to get the unwanted CB, albeit current reports allege they want him on a loan rather than a permanent signing, but with his contract not even close to expiring for another 3 years, he’s one the club wants off its hands for good.
Simpson, who has a court hearing in May over alleged reckless driving, has struggled deeply at Ibrox, being a rarity of a signing who didn’t even give a glimmer of potential in any of his appearances.
And now sides down south want him back in his comfort zone, the pressure of Govan clearly too much for him.
The 25-year old needs his career kick started, and Rangers are absolutely the wrong club for him. The previous regime really dropped the ball signing this lad, and we hope he finds the right club to get going again.
We watch and wait.
