Italian media claim Rangers are ready to offer Bologna £6M for Andreas Skov Olsen, following their rejecting an initial £4.5M a week or so ago.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is a big admirer of the Danish winger, following a long-term club interest in the attacker from the Steven Gerrard days, and Rangers’ clearly need a proper RW for a position that has been vacant for as long as we can remember.

After one outlet in the UK claimed Bologna had put an £8M pricetag on the 22-year old, Rangers have nevertheless upped the bidding amount, and Skov Olsen has a decision to make.

His Bologna career is clearly not working out, his style not suiting manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, but Rangers aren’t the only side interested, with Torino, Hertha Berlin and Copenhagen all monitoring him as well.

The ramping up in suitors has clearly encouraged Rangers to make an attempt at another bid, and if it is successful, Skov Olsen, who has had enough of his current side, will be one of the biggest buys in Rangers’ history.

We’ll see how it all develops.
