Various sources and outlets are continuing to link Giovanni van Bronckhorst with a move for Hearts’ John Souttar, while claiming Championship Nottingham are also interested in the Gorgie stopper.

As we discussed before, his CV really isn’t that impressive, we could only really call him a squad player at Ibrox, but Gio is being linked as well with Wesley Hoedt of Anderlecht and of course Vitesse’s Danilho Doekhi.

What matters is these players are on the radar.

All three would be welcome, but it’s the Souttar one heightening in the press in recent days, with media claiming Rangers are going to out and out face off v Forest to secure his signature.

Our view is 100% in Gio we trust, but as armchair managers we’d frankly like all three if possible.

But the reality may be very different and budgetary limitations probably mean we can only one or absolutely two at the most.

Either way, the press seem adamant Souttar remains as much of interest to Gio as he reportedly did to SG.

We will see.
