English press have today claimed a £15M price tag on Rangers’ Glen Kamara after Steven Gerrard supposedly identified him as a ‘cheaper’ alternative to Brighton’s Yves Bissouma, who the Seagulls are said to want £50M for.

Where do we begin with this.

First off Bissouma’s ONLY superiority to Kamara is he has PL experience, he has no European experience and his international CV is comparable, not superior.

Kamara has UEL, Euros, and he’s a title winner, and yet the English press peg him as pennies compared to the Malian.

To make matters even more curious, Villa have today had a bid for Juve’s DM Bentacur rejected, at £20.5M, who’s a Uruguay regular, and a three-time Serie A winner with the Bianconeri.

So quite why the English press think Villa would get Kamara for less than Everton got Nathan Patterson we don’t quite know.

Next, please!

  1. Rangers just need to hold firm villa have the cash so top drawer payment only or take a run and jump Gerrard.

  2. If the English press watched Clancy and the idiot part time refs in Scotland along with the 11 defenders from Livingston then – they would be correct to say the our footy is cheap.

  3. It’s just the economics of world football, the so called best league in the world(only English commentators say this) call the shots on how much or how desperate they want a player, I’m not sure of Kamaras worth but I’d take every penny we can squeeze out of someone.

  4. Seriously, after his performance today, even StevieGerrard would laugh at paying £15 million.

If anyone came in with a solid £8/10 million offer, we should grab it, and phone for the taxi.

Our defence is poor. Corner kicks are a lottery, and we need to ship out as many as we can get money for. Past reputations count for nothing, and their value will be judged by the buyer on current form.

And since the Winter’s break, nobody in our squad has set the Heather on fire.
