Key Rangers star rejects transfer and wants to stay

Borna Barisic has rejected all transfer speculation and denied interest either in him from other clubs or moving away for his own part.

The Croat, subject to a derisory £2M bid from Watford, has been centre of strong speculation regarding Roma, Lazio and indeed the London side, but insists he’s got no interest in leaving and he’s playing ‘for the badge’.

Barisic, 29, has had a new lease of life under Gio, with a more defensive discipline and less bombing forward with gusto – it’s shown a new side of his game, and of course with the awareness he can still be a superb weapon on the left if needed with that pinpoint delivery.

But end of the day, in form, Barisic is a complete asset to Rangers, Gio and the quest for 56, so this is welcome news and hopefully his word is true.

If anyone is indeed interested in the former Osijek man, they will have to dig deep, but publicly at least Barisic has rejected all transfer talk and wants to stay at Ibrox.

Good news.
