Celtic demand another postponement of the Old Firm after losing a bunch of players to Covid and international duty, following their success in having the winter break advanced to best suit their squad personnel.

Rangers, who have quietly confirmed they were against the break’s change in scheduling, have simply got on with things, including the blow of potentially losing Leon Balogun for longer, while Celtic have begun playing the victim again.

Let’s not forget, Stavros accused Rangers of playing the violin over missing players during AFCON, failing to spot his own brass neck in having the break rescheduled to suit his own missing Covid players and injureds and now compounding it by asking for another postponement because of HIS international absences and potential covid cases.

Will the SPFL dance to Celtic’s tune again?

Chances are indeed high.

Remember, the winter break is now forecast to end on cue with a spell of grim weather, a snow bomb the press are calling it. So the timing, which originally suited everyone bar Celtic, now will suit absolutely no one.

And Celtic aren’t standing for that, oh no! It must suit them perfectly, and having a bunch of players away by the time the Old Firm gets underway is pretty much the violin playing again.

Only now they’re playing it for themselves.

Not that they’re playing the victims, you understand…
