GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - FEBRUARY 21: Ryan Jack of Rangers leaves the pitch after suffering an injury during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Dundee United at Ibrox Stadium on February 21, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. Giovanni van Bronckhorst has dropped a Rangers bombshell after confirming Ryan Jack is available for selection tomorrow night.

From absolutely nowhere, the Scotland international has regained enough fitness that he is very likely to be on the bench when the side faces Livingston, in a stunning ahead-of-schedule return which could well see the ex-Aberdeen star play minutes before February.

Jack has been tortured now for almost a full year of diabolical injury issues, but Gio’s concession today that he’s back in the squad for tomorrow hopefully spells the end, finally, for his injury nightmare and finally gives Rangers a bit more quality depth in the heart of midfield, with Glen Kamara bearing the brunt of the injuries to every player around him.

Indeed, the Fin has been pretty much ever-present this season, due to injuries to Jack, Arfield, Davis and of course the ongoing issues with forgotten man Nnambi Ofoborh, with new signing James Sands not yet settled in his new home.

As such, Jack’s restoration to first-team affairs is a welcome boost, even if few to no fans will trust him to stay fit for more than 90 minutes.

We wish him the best.
