First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed crowds may return to outdoor events from next week.
The temporary halt on audiences due to Covid restricted crowds in Scotland to just 500 people, a policy at odds with England which never bothered with a closed-door policy at all, and now crowds will return, meaning Rangers’ fixture with Aberdeen on Tuesday will have full house in Pittodrie.
There has of course been much debate and argument about the merits of this policy, with the majority generally opposing it, but the country’s leader has now confirmed it will be brought to an end early next week in what most fans will consider a relief and common sense.
This does of course equally confirm the Old Firm next month will have a full house too, and we’ll leave judgement on that outcome for another time, but for now, fans are back.
And welcome too.
Do Celtic have a big game coming up?
Why show a picture of Sturgeon? She and her voters represent the cult of obtuse skulls.
No it’s not that Celtic have a game it is that Scotland have 2 rugby internationals coming up and the SRU were going to play them in the North of England having sounded out Newcastle and Sunderland and the thought of the oval ball supporters spending their cash in England rather than Edinburgh forced her hand. She and her tinpot dictatorship don’t give a monkeys about football or there fans and the fact she has asked that the useless vaccine passport scheme checks are now to be 50% checked rather than being scrapped altogether says it all so don’t be surprised that when the rugby games have been played further restrictions will be imposed on football supporters due a virus which is no worse than the common cold. This is a now a piss taking exercise and has been for sometime and it is now incumbent on the hopeless SPFL to say enough is enough and start looking after football and more importantly the fans
