An Ibrox Noise statement about Ibrox News
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - NOVEMBER 22: A general view outside the stadium prior to the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on November 22, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. Sporting stadiums around the UK remain under strict restrictions due to the Coronavirus Pandemic as Government social distancing laws prohibit fans inside venues resulting in games being played behind closed doors. Update: The attack in question was indeed a case of mistaken identity, and the chap was big enough to admit his error. He won’t be the last but at least he showed himself to be a good Bear as we know he is. But of course the point of this piece/statement stands. We’ll leave this for posterity in event of potential future attacks!

Ibrox Noise was amused to see an attack on our site on another Rangers site, lynching us for making up a story about Lyndon Dykes as a ‘replacement’ for Alfredo Morelos.

We have indeed spoken in the distant past about Dykes, and when Rangers were genuinely linked with him in the summer of 2020 before electing instead to go with Switzerland’s Cedric Itten and back in those days we did rate him.

But the site in question took us to task over today’s story and slurred us as speaking rubbish.

The problem is, and regulars will probably suss this as they go, that we DIDN’T make up a story about Lyndon Dykes.

In fact, we haven’t spoken about Dykes for years.

But another site bearing a name close to ours did…

Can Ibrox NOISE take this opportunity to once, and for all, definitively and categorically state we are not, have nothing to do with, do not endorse and DEEPLY distance ourselves from the so-called:

Ibrox NEWS!!!!

We are NOT the above. We are Noise.

We have been attacked multiple times for their inaccurate content, and it’s giving us a distinctly dodgy rep among fans now.

Ibrox NEWS are about as Rangers as Chris Sutton, and come from Football Insider, designed purely to gain traffic under the name of Rangers. Any story will do if it has our name on it. They are NOT run by Gers fans.

Ibrox Noise, that’s us, however, are 100% Rangers. We won’t get everything right, but regulars do know we get a lot right, and you also agree with much of our output. You also disagree with a fair chunk of it too, but we know you appreciate our openness to debate and hearing contrasting views.

NEWS, however, is none of this. Ibrox NEWS has nothing to do with Ibrox Noise or Rangers.

We doubt this is the last time we’ll hear this confusion, nor will it be the last time we get slagged off for their content, but hope springs eternal, right?

    • No idea, they did have Alex McLeish in fairness to them, but now they have Keith Hackett, a ref… as for Nicholas… not sure…
