£16M deal agreed as Patterson to move to Everton

Nathan Patterson’s patience with being second-fiddle to James Tavernier has run out and the youngster has agreed a deal that will see him move to Everton for £16M.

The 20-year old has been subject to intense speculation for the best part of 6 months, ever since Everton’s previous £8M bid was rejected, and now the Goodison giants are close to finalising Rangers’ biggest-ever transfer sale by securing the Scotland international for a deal worth in the region of double what they offered last time.

As we reported in the last 24 hours, Patterson and midfielder Glen Kamara were subject to Everton interest, for a combined £30M, but while the interest in the Fin is fledgling, the deal for the Auchenhowie graduate is 99% completed having been in the works for considerably longer.

Rangers fans have known a big sale was coming, and Patterson will be it.
