The biggest test yet? Gio’s Rangers travels to Hearts

Tomorrow Rangers travel to Tynecastle in what will be easily the team’s toughest challenge of the season, and our first real title credentials test.

With the shock loss at Tannadice the only real blot on Rangers’ otherwise unbeaten league season, high-flying Hearts with 3 wins in the last 5 matches are proving to be one of the SPL’s top sides, with Tynecastle’s record in the last 5 matches being the best in the league.

Yes really, Hearts top the table for home results over the past 5, and are joint second with Rangers over the past 10.

It adds up to easily Rangers’ biggest domestic test of the season, up against the most daunting venue in Scotland with Robbie Neilson and Hearts being a combination which is among the best in the country too.

A 59% overall win rate for both spells as Gorgie manager show Neilson has the Midas touch when it comes to his team, with strangely enough his first spell in the weaker Championship had a lower win rate of 58%.

It’s 59% now in the SPL.

They will not be an easy pushover and it’s by far the toughest test for Gio and Rangers of all the matches he’s faced.

And of course, they got a draw at Ibrox…

Must win? Yes. And the pressure is on.
