Rangers with new injury blow as attacker ruled out
He's not afraid to drop big names....

Rangers have been hit with an unwanted injury blow after Kemar Roofe joined the list of absentees, with no apparent return day known beyond a hope of ‘before the winter break’.

The Jamaica international, who’s been a lively and useful addition to Rangers’ ranks since his signing in 2020, faced Lyon in midweek, but now joins Ryan Jack and Leon Balogun on the sidelines.

It’s not too massive a blow, Rangers do have a tonne of attacking options to cover the former Leeds man, and it would be accurate to say he’s a rotational first-team player who isn’t quite in the indispensable list just yet.

But his qualities of hard work, pace, power and goals are undeniable and losing him will be a pain regardless.

The 28-year old confirmed the news on social media, describing it as a ‘setback’ but his spirits were good and he hopes to be back with us soon.

We don’t yet have information on the prognoses for either Jack or Balogun.

More as we get it.
