Rangers ex-coach with the club at heart of new appointment
He helped big time to bringing in Jacobs.....

We all know about the departure of SG, and how it was far from the most gracious exit, but if one man did definitely come out of it all with credit it was assistant manager Michael Beale who we’ve not seen a single bad word about.

Loyal to his boss, he was always going to go where Gerrard went, but departed Ibrox on warm terms with a lot of praise from fans.

And that affectionate relationship continues with his latest social media post, praising the club and the fans and being a massive proponent in the acquisition of new Head of Development Zeb Jacobs.

We won’t lie and ask exactly how a former Liverpool youth coach had a relationship with a former Antwerp youth coach, but Zeb clearly knew Beale and consulted him heavily on a move to Ibrox.

And our former assistant manager was only too happy to sing the praises of the club to the Belgian-based coach and help in his new role, and we can only say we are grateful to Beale for his help.

With Graeme Murty, we had an honourable but limited development coach – Jacobs is far more technical and is a fine example for kids in how to evolve their game. Securing this guy is a real coup for the club and bodes well for our future.

And we have to majorly thank Beale for ensuring it got over the line.

Welcome to Rangers, Zeb!
