“Fan-pleasing addition” as Rangers ‘make enquiries’ on Danish winger

The story yesterday over Andreas Skov Olsen being interested in a move to Ibrox does lack the official announcement from the player over such a desire, unlike Danilho Doekhi who has publicly confirmed he would think ‘seriously’ about serious interest in him from Rangers.

The Danish winger is yet to speak on his future plans, but has confirmed he’s unhappy at Bologna and isn’t playing enough.

He has equally admitted his form has been a little bit lacking in Italy, and beat himself up over missing some chances in front of goal which he thinks have contributed to his fading from the Bologna first team picture.

He is low on both confidence and form, despite a bright Euros with his country, and it’s clear the lad needs a move.

On a reputed £28K a week in Italy, the lanky winger is rated around £6M but will sell for less given that low form and confidence, which means a bargain for Rangers if Giovanni van Bronckhorst follows up the reported enquiries from Ibrox in the talented attacker.

We also have a strong carrot in the form of his ex team mate Filip Helander, the relationship between Rangers and Bologna being a good one, which could give us the advantage in any move.

Plus for fans concerned about a transfer fee given Rangers’ lack of funds right now, not only would ASO be less than his market value, but Rangers would strike a deal with Bologna ala Genk for Hagi and get the lad here for around a million tops. Buy now pay later.

We can safely say this would be a truly fan-pleasing addition, a top quality RW at long, long last, and hopefully we can make this happen next month.
