Steven Gerrard has slightly played down Ryan Jack return hopes by admitting the international break is critical for him, and Rangers will try to get a bounce game for him to get some minutes in.
After all the hype over the Scotland star’s potentially imminent return, Gerrard has today tempered that a little by effectively admitting it might be close to December before Jack is back in action.
He said:
This all sounds wonderfully promising, but then comes the catch:
It’s not a massive catch, but it’s still a fragile time and if Jacko comes through the next three weeks unscathed then there’s a strong chance we could see him significantly throughout December.
It’s still tentative though.
Haste ye back.
