Rangers’ Joe Aribo has again been linked to Crystal Palace with a potential £15M January bid being mentioned for the attacking midfielder.

The story originally cropped up on notorious sites, but is starting to persist, and whether that’s because there’s now truth in it or it just sells clicks at this point we can’t be sure.

Ibrox Noise sources confirm there is no interest whatsoever coming from Selhurst Park that we know of, Aribo’s stock is big and that is likely to change over the coming month or two as we approach the January window.

It’s becoming imperative that we sign Aribo up to a longer deal, given his current one has just 18 months left because if the Nigerian harbours ambitions of playing in the PL, a bid from a Palace or any other may prove too hard for him to turn down.

His value has certainly spiked in 2021, being overall Rangers’ best performer this calendar year, and the club wouldn’t struggle to secure £15M for him.

But we have to hope he’s not interested in an exit yet – but prepare for the possibility that he is.
