‘Reports’ claim Man Utd to make move for Rangers defender

This morning’s reports claiming Man Utd and Newcastle are seeking Leon King come once again from Clickbait Insider, who, to the best of our knowledge, have only ever got a single story right in their years of existence, and that was the one telling us Niko Katic was going to get dropped in late 2019.

This is a site which reports conjecture and fabrication as fact, and pays football pundits to give opinions before reporting those as fact and as ‘exclusives’.

Does this mean no one is interested in King?

We do know of interest in the lad yes, but we’d be more than a touch surprised if a club without a manager and a club without a clue are both interested in King, given he hasn’t yet breached the Rangers’ first team.

The same source claimed Man Utd were making a move for Nathan Patterson some weeks ago, in yet another story to go quiet, but it’s easy to say a club is making a move for a prize talent without backing it up.

We don’t bring constant ‘exclusives’ to you on Ibrox Noise, because we’re not liars and Rangers are rightly tight with leaks.

We did tell you two weeks ago that Giovanni was coming (albeit we got the date slightly wrong), and you trusted us on it. And that’s why we don’t saturate the airways with nonsense stories, apart from reporting on what we hear and see.

As for King, we have no idea who may be looking at him, but we can safely say we don’t trust Football Insider’s ‘exclusives’ on it one bit.
