Rangers scouts today watched Dutch giants PSV face Vitesse in the latest round of monitoring Arnham’s 23-year old defender Danilho Doekhi.

The Dutch U21 international has been on Rangers’ radar for months, and with his contract expiring next summer, he’d be a pre-contract or low-price addition in January.

Rangers have been looking at this former Excelsior and Ajax lad for a very long time, and with the inevitability of Connor Goldson’s exit early next year, new defensive talent will need to be accrued.

And Rangers have been planning the addition of Doekhi for some time, and of course with the confirming of our new manager, the Dutch connection enhances that considerably.

We will await January to see if a deal is done and if Doekhi convinced enough before then.
