With just one month to go till 2022 and the January window, Rangers fans are feverishly calling upon the club to reverse one of the ex’s worst errors by recalling Niko Katic from Split rather than selling him as per the loan clause agreement.

The 25 year old is currently a regular for his home country side, and while he conceded a penalty v Belupo (his ex side, of course) he’s done very well in Split with an overall 84% level of passing and a stunning 73% of all aerial duels won.

In short, he’s continuing to impress and many fans are eager to see him return to where he wants to be.

Katic took this club to his heart, and of course the fans are a huge reason why, but the ex-boss just didn’t like him and wasn’t interested.

But now with our defensive resources stretched thin, it seems like January would be more prudent to bring Katic back rather than be without.

Gio will be making his own stamp at that point, and whether Katic fits his archetype we’ll see, but if it was up to fans the Croat would be back at Ibrox yesterday.
