BT Sport have been accused this morning of anti-Rangers propaganda after a trailer for their Europa League coverage was released.

The UK sports giant, with a complete monopoly on all European football from UK-based domestic clubs, has been widely praised for their high-quality and fair coverage of all clubs from these shores, and was pined for when they lost SPL rights two seasons ago.

However, their UEL trailer, a comedy pastiche of a rock band, is a bit strange for Rangers fans.

The ‘offending’ trailer?

It features clips of all UK clubs celebrating UEL goals, moments of glory – Spurs, Celtic, West Ham etc.

Apart from Rangers – the clip of Rangers features James Tavernier looking stressed and Steven Gerrard wincing.

We simply do not understand why this trailer paints a negative picture of Rangers but a positive one of all other British clubs.

A Celtic fan making the montage? Picking the snippets?

It probably sounds paranoid, after all who cares what a broadcaster chooses?

But it was certainly noticeable. And odd.

Answers on a postcard.
